GBE was engaged to produce an arena spectacular of School of Rock, staging four performances over two days. Taking full advantage of the scale offered by Qudos Bank Arena, GBE designed and delivered a 25m high built set with integrated LED walls for scene setting, perfect for the core cast of 70 professional and student performers, 1,000 massed dancers and almost 2,000-strong choir to perform on and around. GBE was responsible for all aspects of show design, including vision content, costume and wardrobe, lighting and audio, as well as providing the full suite of turnkey production, stage, event and logistics management services.
The Ultimate Fan App was used to provide a digital program, cast bios, ticketing and event information to audiences, as well as to great effect providing an incredible light show during the show's epic rock-concert finale.
